Where I Ride When I Ride

I’ve been a serious cyclist for about 7 years now, and where we live is such a great place to ride.  There’s nothing like being out in the middle of nowhere on a bike, being able to see miles in every direction and the wide open Texas sky above you.  These are a few pics I took a couple of weeks ago while out for a short ride.

This is the house used in the movie “Second Hand Lions”, with Robert Duvall, Michael Caine and Haley Joel Osment.

Another view of the house; they modified it for the movie, to make it look like an old, run-down farmhouse.  It sits about 5 miles from where we live.

This is the Cele Store, one of the best barbeque places in the area.  It was used for a couple of scenes in the movie; I understand it was also used in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, but I never saw that.  It is also about 5 miles from our house.
